10cc Album: “Very Best of 10cc [Universal UK]”

This is a very disappointing attempt by Universal Music to squeeze one more drop out of the 10cc name. The sound quality is sub-standard and 6 of the tracks are pre and post 10cc projects (Hotlegs, Godley & Creme, Wax). I suggest you look elsewhere for better sound quality and selection.

Shame on you Universal!

I'm reviewing the track selection - not the sound quality. I don't own this CD.

Overall, I thought this was a very good track selection and, unlike another reviewer, I would have appreciated the non-10cc tracks.

This CD has three more tracks than their previous, 1997 single-disc compilation, also called

. But, unfortunately, the newer disc leaves off one of their hits, "People In Love" (#40, 1977) which is included on the older CD (and would've fit on the new one, I am guessing).

So, I am stickin' with the old

, which I already own. New fans will be well served by this one - and get a broader historical perspective.
