- 98 Degrees just keep on getting hotter

I love 'This Christmas' it is one of the best Christmas albums ever. The soulful harmonies of the guys touches your heart in such an indescribable way. 'This Gift' is such a beautiful song. I totally love this album. 98 Degrees rocks and they will and always continue singing cool songs such as those on 'This Christmas'. I recommend that you buy this cd. It's worth it.

- An Honest Review from a music critic

Alright, personally, i am not a big fan of the boy band world. However, i fail to see how this group can be classified under that pariticular category. I have listened with an honest ear to this band ever since their first album. I can honestly tell you that this group has major potential at being one of the most soulful and talented bands out there. However, they have gotten a little off track. As far as individual voice talent has gone, they all have improved. Stylistically, there needs to be a little bit of a reformation. I think that they should follow their instincts instead of what girls of the age of 12 are screaming for. Looks and high-pitched sound can keep you in this business for only so long. You need talent to stay. This cd, even with its lack (not totally lack but...) of r+b style, has been one of their greatest accomplishments yet. There sound is pure and delightful. They can touch the soul with songs like O Holy Night. They deserve respect but will earn more from peers as well as fans if they follow what they truly believe is good music. This cd, by the way, honestly, is worth every penny.

- excellent for 2 or 3 songs

"this gift," "christmas wish," and "o holy night" are all great songs, ones that i believe make the cd worth it. however the rest of the songs are just a little too slow and music-less. if you are of the type that will buy a cd for just one or two songs then definitely get "this christmas" all three of those songs are classic 98 degrees. however if you don't buy many cd's, then your money would probably be better spent on the other 98 degrees albums.

- Traditional with a Pop Twist

This album is mostly compiled of classical christmas songs such as "Silent Night," "I'll be Home for Christmas," and "Little Drummer Boy," just to name a few. Within this album, there is a lot of a cepella singing. A few new songs grace its content and became my favorite witin moments. I only gave it 3 stars because of the fact that Nick, one of the band, is the only real singer. I know, I know, that's the boy-band thing, one or two sing and the others are just there to complete a group, but I don't like it at all. Hey boys, how about a little more variety in voices? You know, let Drew sing like, a song? Anyways, it is a good album. Anyone who likes 98 degrees will like this CD.

- This goes beyond "boy band" appeal

This is a very listenable Christmas record for all ages, not just the teenage fans. The traditional carols are sung with feeling and reverence, while the newer ones do have actual meaning to them. I do wonder though if anybody feels there's a strong similarity between this album and Lonestar's "This Christmas Time" CD. Not that unusual to have three songs in common on Christmas albums, but the "Little Drummer Boy" interpretations seem rather similar, as well as the general pacing.
