For this, my first column in the Old Gold & Black, I have been given the privilege to share my opinions on music. In my debut article, I hope to expose the campus community to a relatively unknown band and my personal favorite, Alexisonfire.

Breaking up is hard to do. For Dallas Green, a.k.a. City and Colour, perhaps it’s a bit less painful than for most of us. Little Hell, City and Colour’s third album, came out June 7, 2011. On Aug. 8, Green quit Alexisonfire, the band he’d been in for a decade.
