INDIO - At the Drive-In reunited again to give a blistering, post-hardcore sound performance Sunday night that featured more entertaining antics of lead singer Cedric Bixler-Zavala.

I wasn't a big At the Drive-In fan in the early '00s, when the punky, progressive band was at its peak: too much guitar wankery for me, I suppose, but whatever the reason, something didn't connect....

INDIO - Post-hardcore's At the Drive-In and underground hip-hop's Company Flow each reunited for the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival and each group's fans couldn't be more passionate.

Punk rock didn't get much press at this year's Coachella festival, but great punk bands were still getting prominent placement, including a second-billed Sunday spot for a reunited At The Drive-In. Other shows by Refused, fIREHOSE and Greg Ginn proved that punk is still a vital part of the Coachella mix.

Cedric Bixler-Zavala criticized the crowd's attire, commenting, "Urban Outfitters is the Costco of the youth culture."
