- Audio Bullys...Back Again! SOLID

5/6/10 Here is updated review since I'd just gotten the UK version of this new Audio Bully's cd which includes Kiss the Sky, but eliminates 17 which is on the US version. I'm syched. Kiss the Sky is a much better song in my opinion and a standout track on this album, but wish that 17 was included here as well. Really my only gripe. THIS IS A SOLID CD from the AB's. It combines everything that was great about EGO WAR and GENERATION into one CD. Fantastic house/rock guitar tracks like Only Man, Kiss the Sky and Fantastic Garage/British Hip Hop tracks like London Dreamer, Feel Alright, Daisy Chains, Dragging Me Down, Drained Out.

What's awesome about this is album is that it seemlessly combines the light and the dark into one cohesive ablum and sometimes songs (see both Shotgun and Smiling Faces...which the latter took me a bit to get used to because they start on the light side and then convert to dark/rugged style house/crazy synths and beeps) IT WORKS.

I'm a biased fan of AB's so wasn't doubting it'd be a good album, but Generation, while still a great album, the US version lacked tracks that the UK version had and could've used those tracks to make it more solid. HIGHER THAN THE EIFFEL fixes that. Can't wait to see what these british lads have up their sleeves for the future- Cheers

I have no idea what this other review is talking about..."Higher than the Eiffel" is awesome. But then again, I'm biased to the Audio Bullys. Being that I've got family in the UK, I'm able to get listens to singles they've released and versions of tracks that didnt come out here in the US, but nonetheless, this is a solid cd. Standouts are:

Only Man

Kiss the Sky

Drowned Out

Daisy Chains

London Dreamer

Twist Me Up

Goodbye

Feel Alright

Dragging Me Down

Yeah, the lyrics can be simplistic at times, but I've got NO PROBLEM w/ that. This is a bangin cd. Keep it up audio bullys. Give me that punk boys

- what happened to the AB?

really disappointed. Waited so long for this genious band to come out with a new album and then this...they had such catchy beats great rythms and it all just disappeared in some boring record. There is no energy in those songs but just depression...I hope they will come up with something new very soon.

Wife loves the CD a little pricy for a cd but my wife loves this group.

This review is from a big Audio Bullys fan. This album is a disaster. Where are the club bangers they're known for? I've put up with the god awful singing and lyrics in past Audio Bullys records because the tracks/production was so good and he sometimes manages to capture those moments of being in the scene, but this album is full of garbage ballads and guitar rock. Dude, you can't sing or write any meaningful lyrics. Their manager/producer let them fly off the rails with this album and for anyone who has liked this group in the past I highly suggest listening to samples on iTunes before spending a dime on this record. A shame too because some of the singles they put out in the last couple years were great. What a disappointment.
