Beach House's music can be so beautifully dreamy as to be soporific.

Beach House is the duo of Victoria Legrand and Alex Scally. Legrand, a native of France, sings and plays keyboards; Scally, a native of Baltimore, adds guitar, keyboards and other instrumentation. They weave and craft dreamy, ambient and often hypnotic pop songs that cast shadowy, nocturnal moods.

Beach House had largely used the same musical formula since the band was formed in 2006, but something finally clicked with 2010’s “Teen Dream.”

The Baltimore duo Beach House hasn’t really budged in the past two years. Still in Charm City. Still writing rock songs that settle over our ears like a perfumed fog.
