<p>The audio-only portion of BIG & RICH'S SUPER GALACTIC FAN PACK is a collection of remixes, alternate versions, outtakes, and unreleased tracks that were not included on the duo's hugely successful debut, HORSE OF A DIFFERENT COLOR. Since Big & Rich are known for their eclecticism and humor, the disc's grab-bag quality is completely in sync with the duo's modus operandi. Every track is a highlight, particularly the genre-defying dance mix of "Save a Horse (Ride a Cowboy)" and the sidesplitting acoustic version of "Drinkin' 'Bout You," which sounds as if it might actually have been recorded under the influence of copious amounts of alcohol. The decidedly surreal "The Bob Song," which features monkey sounds and references to dressing up as a chicken, is too weird even for the band's debut. Part Ben Colder, part Frank Zappa, BIG & RICH'S SUPER GALACTIC FAN PACK explores the outer limits of one of country music's most intriguing acts.

Uplifting high spirited FUN....California adores these boys. With so much tragedy in this world, it is so nice to kick back and enjoy the simple pleasures of this life. Listening to these blessed young men, puts a huge smile on my face and warms my heart.

- We've worn out our first copy!
I purchased this for my DH for Christmas because he loves Big and Rich. It soon became apparant that my 17-month old DD loves them even more! Not a day goes by that we do not watch this DVD and dance around the house.
Big Kenny and John Rich give background information about their songs and the inspiration for them. There are also new cuts included. It's just a good time had by all. Well worth the money for fans.

The cd portion of the fan pak is hysterical, the boys tell stories to go with the songs and the new recordings are great. The dvd is worth the purchase all on it's own! Awesome! - Big & Rich

OMG! I received this from my sister for my birthday and I haven't quit watching it yet and the CD is in my car permanently. This is such a great insight to their personalities. The interviews and the dialogue are fabulous. If you thought you liked big and rich before watch out! |
