- unique remixes
If you were a fan in the 80s perhaps you remember all those extended remixes they'd put out on e.p.s and singles. Of course BC was no exception in doing this--and a lot of diehard fans loved it.
Well, this is an obvious CD to get if you are a BC fan.
Or if you are a fan of the 80s rock. The songs really are re-mixed and put back together in such a way that they are quite different songs from the source material.
These are really cool to listen for the bass and drum sounds. You can't call it dance music, but Tony's bass and Mark's drums do get more prominence.
Most of this stuff is done by Steve Lillywhite, who U2 fans will know well. I don't know if he ever did anything like this with any other group, but then again there never has been another group like BC.

- a gem.
I won't go on about this - other fans know their 12-inchers contained awesome power that unfortunately never made it to their studio releases. But that was part of the fun back then - searching out the special stuff. The cannons on "where the rose is sown" are worth the price of admission.

- Add it to the collection if your a fan
As everyone knows Big Country (BC) broke up in 2000 and as I said previously they are pulling BC albums out from everywhere. This album is no exception, it has the usual favourites like "In A Big Country", "Fields Of Fire", "Wonderland", "Look Away", "One Great Thing" and a few other minor songs like "East Of Eden", "Just a Shadow", "Save Me". It's a collection of 11 songs, which I really think they could have put a better collection on. My favourite on the album is the "The Teacher". This album, if your not a fan, I would give it a miss, but if your like me get it to add to your collection. I really believe that the record companies should let BC RIP and get on with other things.
