Blink 182: Tom DeLonge (vocals, guitar); Mark Hoppus (bass guitar); Scott Raynor, Travis Barker (drums).
<p>In early 2005, SoCal pop-punk act Blink 182 announced that it was going on "indefinite hiatus," and this 17-track retrospective followed later that year. The disc charts the trio's career in chronological order, beginning with their early work (recorded before drummer Travis Barker joined), including the revved-up "Dammit," which first revealed the band's teen-friendly, pop-minded potential. Blink 182 really hit a winning streak when it gained the fierce drumming of Barker and the potent production of Jerry Finn, a point proven by the exuberant "What's My Age Again?" and the sing-songy anthem "All the Small Things." Rounding out GREATEST HITS are two non-album songs, the propulsive "Not Now" and a solid cover of the Only Ones' "Another Girl Another Planet," a tune used for Barker's own reality-TV show.

- great CD
Greatest hits of Blink 182. My daughter was thrilled to get it.
Had 16 songs on the CD
CD was used but in great condition, no scratches.
- The Hits
Sadly, at this point it doesn't look like Blink means to come back together anytime soon. I'm hoping that someday they will, but the release of a greatest hits album usually signals the near ending of a band, but not always, which is why I was both excited and sad when I heard Blink was releasing a greatest hits album. Supposedly Box Car Racer was the cause of the band falling apart, but there were other factors involved too. I hear that Tom is currently working with his new band "Angels and Airwaves", which sounds like it's worth checking out. But nothing can replace Blink.
Although I think this album doesn't showcase Blink's best work, it does have some good songs on it, such as the immature classic "What's My Age Again" from Enema of the State and the totally cool "Carousel" and "M+Ms" from Cheshire Cat. I enjoy most of them, but this is basically an album made entirely up of all the songs that people have gotten sick of or heard constantly on the radio. But hey, like I said, this has some really good songs, and includes the song "Not Now", which was supposed to be on Blink's untitled CD.
No one can match Tom's unique voice, Mark's energetic basswork, and Travis's awesome drumming. There is no better drummer out there today, Green Day's Tre Cool coming in for a close second. So get it. It's a good introduction for new fans and something older fans may or may not dig, depending on their favorite Blink-182 era.
Well....I salute you, Blink-182. I hope this isn't the end.

- it lives up to the title
this is my first blink-182 cd, i'm not one of those people who have worshiped them since their very first cd. the first exposur i had to blink-182 was when i saw their The Rock Show video on MTV when i was 11. i had liked them ever since, but never bought anything bought them. i got this because it had all of their best songs. it does run a little long though. although neccisary to show the proggression of the band, i thought Carousel and M+M's were pretty weak songs. i also didn't think it needed 4 songs from their latest album, which got a 'meh' reaction from fans. but my favorite song on the CD, I Miss You, is from that latest album. although i'm late in getting into them, i really hope this isnt the end of blink-182.

- Can I shoot myself now?
Ok, Ok, Blink 182 is an alright band. "What's my age again" "Rock show" and "Feeling this" are awsome songs. But this album is DEPRESSING! The lyrics are very dark in a few of the songs for instance "Adam's song" is about SUICIDE!! And a few of the songs on this album are REALY REALY bad, like Carrosel. I'm not saying Blink 182 is a bad band just one that needs a little prozac. I find myself skiping through half the songs and only listening to about 6 on the whole album. BUT I'd still suggest buying this album, just make sure you have a programable CD player.
