- Sophmoric, crude yet smart and clever
The first time I heard Hooray for Boobies, I thought it was funny but silly. After listening to it further and reading the lyrics I found that these guys were smart. With references to Catcher in the Rye and Voltaire's Candide(I thought I was the only person around that read that!) Jimmy Pop is not a dumb white guy. In addition there are clever rhymes and puns. Everytime I listen to it, I pick up something I previously had missed. The songs have great beats and guitar riffs. I hope you die, three point one four(hidden meaning), Mope, Chasey Lain, and the bad touch are just a few of my favorites. I also like it because these guys aren't afraid to talk about controversial things and some of their songs could be very offensive to some people. I definitely recommend this album to anyone who likes rock, rap, and/or hip hop. Listen to it with an open mind and you will appreciate the humor.

- Total Smut, But I Love It!!
Want to talk downright outragous? Then the Bloodhound Gang's "Hooray For Boobies" Is the cd for you. The music world was overtaken by a barrage of sleaze, sick humour and bad jokes when this album hit the stores. The New-Jersey hating Five-some present us with a real mix of "Educational issues" (honestly) that would make even Eminem jump with surprise!!!
Back in the day, The Bloodhound Gang were a bunch of weirdos that produced really bad, cheesy music, but somehting was appealing about it. Basicallly it was the lyrical content, poking fun at people from all walks of life. We laughed and didn't spare a minute to feel sorry for the groups that were targeted- shame on us!!
But this 3rd album sees the cheesy music replaced with a cd full of masterpieces with each song having its own distinct sound and style, from the heavy rock of "Yummy Down On This" to the cheesy 80's pop of "The Bad Touch". The group even try their hand with rap with "Mope": A song compised of a remixing of Franki Goes to hollywood and lyrics poking fun At Pavirotti and Tori Spellings's eyes. Figure that one out! Each song will stick in your head as they are all different in some way and have their own attributes, but you'll probably remember each song for some sleazy or shocking bit of lyrics!!
My favourite songs on this album have to be "The Ballad Of Cjasey Lain" This was released as a single and most of it was dubbed out in the video as Chasey Lain is a porn star so you probably guess why it was dubbed so heavily! "Magna Cum Nada" Is a good song, it's a bit darker than the rest of them and the rock is a bit harder too. "Three point one four" Is the most shocking on the album, but if I were to write why, this review wouldn't be allowed to be put up so I'll let you discover this one for yourself.
As a last word, just buy this, I think it's essential, and an all round good laugh (unless you're a really serious person with no sense of humour!!)

- Well worth the wait.
I first remember hearing Bloodhound Gang's CD "One Fierce Beer Coaster" while visiting family in Atlanta, and it was love at first listen! These guys know what they're doing, and they do it extremely well! They have the uncanny ability to shock folks, while making them laugh at their outrageousness.
"Hooray for Boobies" is BG taking their raucous style of musicianship and going to the next level. This CD is sure to offend countless people, but that's their intent I'm sure. Overtly sexual, in a juvenile/Beavis and Butthead kinda way, it's sure to keep the interest of their true fans. There are a couple of "mainstream" sounding songs here, that are sure to bring new fans into the fold. But for those who think "The Bad Touch" is a typical BG song, think again. This CD has an "Explicit Lyrics" label on it for a very well deserved reason. Attention parents: This is not for the kiddies.
One new element that is employed on this CD (which I don't remember from their other two CDs) is the use of gross-out techniques. That horrible coughing and gagging that occurs on this CD caught me off guard. It made me gag listening to it the first time! I loved it! Another new element is the use of techno...which is utilized in a subtle, yet impressive way.
Bloodhound Gang proves, yet again, they are one of the most clever and versatile groups on any scene today! And they also prove that one should not take themselves too seriously. No one will ever accuse Bloodhound Gang of doing this, and that makes them a national treasure.

- Great CD!
This CD rocks! All of the tracks make ya wonder what you're gonna hear next! I especially love "I Hope You Die". If you love music and aren't grossed out by the first mention of sex, you need to get this CD.

- Lighten up!
Rock and roll is supposed to be fun. Sometimes that means a good hit of AC/DC, sometimes it means relaxing to Fleetwood Mac or Pink Floyd and yes sometimes it means getting a little warped. I am a 36 year old veteran of rock and have embraced this album for the pure fun it packs. Just try not to grin as you listen to this album. You will fail!
