When Matt Lawrence was younger, he remembers his father taking him to the former Steel Penny Pub to see Bowling For Soup, his favorite band growing up. Now, the former San Angeloan, now a Nashville transplant, will take the same stage and venue (with a different name — The Penny Pub & Grill) with his bandmates from Manic Bloom.

Bowling for Soup may not actually be a Tulsa band, but it could be. Tulsa has been a regular stop for the band since it formed in the mid-90's as a pop-punk group out of Wichita Falls, Tex.
