- Busted - "Even their name is excellent!"

2003 has been a rollercoaster of a ride for Busted. They have just gone into orbit! They are huge now, not only in the UK, but in various other countries too, with both guys and girls. The music industry has recognised their talent and they are now WINNING AWARDS for best new act etc.

I bought this pop/punk album last year (2002). The first time I saw the music video of 'What I Go To School For', that was it, I wanted MORE! They blend humour with teen angst and colourful imaginative videos.

This album is a fantastic and very funny portrayal of teenage life, very cleverly written by the three guys themselves (Charlie, Matt and James - all gorgeous by the way!) ALTHOUGH AIMED AT TEENS, I'M IN MY 20'S AND I LOVED IT! The album is full of great songs (Upbeat and ballad). As far as 'boy bands' go, this is definitely the best British 'boy band'. They are up-to-date, sing in a pop/punk style and they play their own instruments.

I look forward to their second album which is released in the UK next month and also hope they have a go at the States because I'm sure they would do well. Their sound and style definitely stand out.

- Busted is Incredible

Busted was probably one of the best British bands in the world. For everyone that didn't like them, you all like extremely dull music. The group Busted, while some people mentioned they were unable to determine the genre, is considered Rock. Busted sounds very punk/pop/rock, a great combination, and is considered by some people to be the "British Blink 182". Some other reviewers mentioned that Busted didn't have a drummer in all their videos and it appeared the music came from nowhere. In a recording studio, you can play more than one instrument because you only record one instrument at a time, for all of those people that didn't know. All the members of Busted are extremely talanted and I happen to know that Charlie Simpson, the tallest member of busted, can play the drums, bass, guitar, and piano, which proves that these guys are just extremely talanted. Busted isn't a "boyband" no matter what you think. A "boyband" is a group of guy singers that can only sing and dance and look "pretty". Busted may dress great but they aren't a boyband, even one of the singers said they weren't a boyband because if they were, they would be dancing. Busted is British. You can occasionally tell when they are singing that they are british, and when most british people sing anyway, you don't hear any british accent. Busted songs are not "rubish" as another reveiwer mentioned. I seriously could keep going on with a million different reasons why you people that don't like this band gave your mental reviews about how they aren't songs and the songs have no content. They do have content, you just must be unable to understand the content in the song, although I find it simple. I can't keep going on like this because telling all the people that wrote bad reviews the truth is not worth my time. Buy this album, it is amazing music that I think will be popular for a long time, even though the group sadly broke up. This CD is amazing and totally worth it.

- The Best CD

This is one of the best cd's I have ever heard in my life and the outragous songz like 'year3000' make the cd interesting.

Plus songz like 'what i go to school for' could happpen but it would be very wrong if it did, and 'U said no' is just funny and i bet ya the girl who said no to charlie is really kicking her selfe now!!!

- Busted?!

Like most people when Busted first arrived sometime last year, I thought, "Oh no, not another boy-band...". "What I Go To School For" didn't grip me, neither did "Year 3000", but I was pleasantly surprised by their debut album, which I bought after falling in love with "You Said No".

Of course, Busted never claim to be a tough, rock or indie band, they'd be the first to admit that they're pure pop. Busted remind me of Blink 182, similar cheeky lyrics and a guitar driven sound. Busted co-wrote every single track on the album, and they all play their own instruments, so they deserve credit for this at least, a trait which puts them above most pop groups who rely on writers and backing tracks. It doen't hurt that the Busted boys are totally lush either! (Sorry, excuse me while I drool over Mattie!)

Anyway, enough of the waffle. Busted are obviously not to everyone's taste, but check them out. Album highlights for me include the gorgeousness of both "Without You" and "When The Day Turns Into Night", and the cheeky "Britney" (complete with a distorted "mehy", a la Britney herself), and the funky "Loser Kid".

I totally rcommend this album.

- When will the music industry learn?

Ever since Hendrix, Lennon and Cobain have died, the music industry has been going downhill. This band proves it. The only decent track on this album is Britney, and thats only because its about every boy's dream: To meet Britney spears. All the other tracks are about impossible stuff (aka: going out with a teacher and going to the year 3000). Well, you can buy this CD, but you'll much prefer "Electric Ladyland" by Jimi Hendrix, "Abbey Road" by the Beatles and "In Utero" by Nirvana.
