Cafe Tacuba's first and most energetic album. Every style they try they do exceedingly well. This is far more interesting than most American alternative music of the 1990s. They deserve wide recognition as a truly innovative and brilliant band. This is a good album to start with if you have never heard Cafe Tacuba. Wow! Cafe Tacuba is a 4 piece band with great talent! This First album is gorgeously made. The most powerful song on the album is Maria, this song will remind all of us of the beauitful feeling of being in love! It sounds as if he is singing Marjorie, Marjorie but he is not he is singing Maria, Maria. Cafe Tacuba will always be around and if I had to start with one album this will be the one. - A verdable plethary of raw music at its best!!!
This is one of the greatest latin bands to come out of Mexico. You name it, they can play it. There style of music ranges everywhere from ranchera to spanish rock to bolero. They have a gift to present their music in different styles that really seperate them from all the rest! This cd is a must have for the spanish rock listener!!! - Special Find
