Conciertos de CocoRosie 2012

CocoRosie was formed in Paris, France by American sisters Bianca Casady (Coco) and Sierra Casady (Rosie). Definition eludes these artists as CocoRosie blends and manipulates what critics have described as indie, hip-hop, pop, blues, opera, and electronic music. They find duality between their unique vocal stylings, expanding those differences and playing music that expresses the inner and outer world of the characters in their songs. CocoRosie continues to develop an avant-garde and evolving musical journey.

De zusjes Sierra Rose Casady en Bianca Leilani Casady, beter bekend als CocoRosie, komen naar 013! Op woensdag 11 juli staan ze in de Dommelsch Zaal.
Als we ‘freakfolk’ al een genre kunnen noemen, dan stonden CocoRosie aan de wieg ervan. Maar de veronderstelling dat deze twee hypercreatieve zusjes onder één genre geschaard kunnen worden is eigenlijk een vreemde. CocoRosie gaat namelijk breder: opera, hiphop, folk, pop, indie, rock, klassiek en electronica komen samen en vermengen zich tot een unieke, vaak beeldschone sound. Vol uitstapjes naar het experiment, maar toch samenhangend. En boven alles: uniek! Eerdere shows in Eindhoven (o.a. in Muziekgebouw Frits Philips) waren helemaal uitverkocht. Critici waren unaniem lovend. Wij kunnen dus enkel benadrukken dat je hier bij moet zijn. CocoRosie is een uniek en fenomenaal duo!
