COLDPLAY OZNAMUJÍ TERMÍNY EVROPSKÉHO TURNÉ „VIVA LA VIDA“ Několikanásobní držitelé ceny Grammy skupina Coldplay oznámili své evropské turné „Viva La Vida“, na kterém podpoří stejnojmennou novinku, jejíž vydání je plánováno na 12. června. Turné je produkováno společností Live Nation a jeho evropská část odstartuje 1. září ve Francii. Britská čtveřice Coldplay, která si svými skladbami podmanila celý svět, míří poprvé do České republiky. Vystoupí 22. září v pražské O2 Aréně.

Coldplay heeft de data bekend gemaakt van hun nieuwe Europese tour. Hieronder valt ook het concert dat Coldplay zal geven in Ahoy Rotterdam op donderdag 2 oktober 2008. De band gaat op tournee naar aanleiding van hun nieuwe album Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends, dat in Nederland op 13 juni aanstaande wordt uitgebracht.
De kaartverkoop voor het concert begint op zaterdag 7 juni om 10.00 uur.
De tour start op 1 september in Straatsburg in Frankrijk en doet daarna onder meer nog Duitsland, Spanje, Scandinavië, Hongarije en Italië aan. In de aanloop naar de Viva la Vida-Tour geeft Coldplay in juni ook nog twee gratis concerten; in Londen (16 juni, Brixton Academy) en New York (23 juni, Madison Square Garden). Het nieuwe album van Coldplay Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends, heeft zijn internationale release bij EMI Records op 12 juni aanstaande. Het album is in Nederland vanaf 13 juni verkrijgbaar. 'Viva la Vida', dat werd geproduceerd door grootheden Brian Eno en Markus Dravs is het vervolg op het album X&Y uit 2005 dat in 32 landen op nr. 1 binnen kwam en waarvan maar liefst 10 miljoen exemplaren werden verkocht.
De eerste single van het nieuwe album "Violet Hill", werd door de band via internet gratis aangeboden aan alle fans en werd binnen één week door 2 miljoen mensen gedownload.
Coldplay gaf in 2005 nog een uitverkocht concert in het Gelredome in Arnhem.

COLDPLAY are back and have confirmed they will play an exclusive Irish concert date @ The Odyssey Arena. It will be three years since the band last performed in Belfast, and their stunning performance was certainly the highlight of 2005 for concert-goers.
Coldplay are one of the UKs most successful bands, having sold over 20 million albums. Their eagerly awaited album Viva La Vida produced by Brian Eno, is due for release on 12th June, and features the current top 10 single Violet Hill.
Other memorable singles by the band include Yellow, Speed Of Sound, and the Grammy Award Winning Clocks
The band formed in 1997, Chris Martin (lead vocalist/pianist/guitarist), Jonny Buckland (lead guitarist), Guy Berryman (bassist), and Will Champion (drummer), and achieved worldwide fame with the release of Yellow, followed by the success of their debut album Parachutes 92000)
