Disco de Commodores: “Greatest Hits, Vol. 2”

My husband is a fan of the commodores and I wanted to surprise him with this cd. I purchased the Greatest Hits Volume 1 and 2 and neither of them were what we expected. Someone should tell you that this is NOT AN ORIGINAL representation of the songs as we know and love them. There are only 3 members performing all of the songs. I guess they do ok but if you are looking for the Lionel Richie voice forget it. The music isn't even the same. It was a big let down, we still listened to it but it just didn't have the umph we had hoped for. I am still trying to find a cd with the versions that we grew up on. We are returning these two cds.

I hoped that this was the originals Commodores, but it's with the new Commodores. Dont't get me wrong they sound good, but I wanted the original.

commodores always had the cuts back in the day, especially when Lionel Richie was leading the way. "Zoom" was the cut and still is. Jesus is Love is so soulful and it is felt. Lady you Bring me Up was the Jam as well. very Versatile Band that always had a cut and this collection is very Good.
