The raw, earthy, unmistakable Southern style of Creedence Clearwater Revival is concidered timeless to music connoisseurs. The highlights of this double-CD album are all of the US hit tracks added to their virtuouso 11 minute remix of Marvin Gaye's "I Heard it Through the Grapevine". The rest of the tracks include the trademark licks and bluesy rythms from the Fogerty brothers which do well to compliment the rest of the album.
If you have Cronicals, Platinum or another CCR hits-compilation, and you wish to hear more from these geniuses of simplicity - then take a listen at least to this album, but you are likely to have heard most of the content of album. However if you only want to buy one album that encapsulates this great Foursome from the San Fransisco Bay area- this is for you. After listening to this you will be left wondering why such talent was never able to produce a US no. 1.
Has all the hits I was looking for. I'm also buying John Fogerty's other new albums as he is an amazing talent and I like encouraging him to do more since he had to sit on the sidelines for so long with the unfortunate rights mistake he made as a kid.
Creedence Clearwater is a Band that I can vibe with.I enjoy the Rugged Vocals&Instrumentation that has a raw element&feel to it but yet the Guitar Playing has a Simple Light feel to it all at once.John Foggerty has a Solid Pressence as a Lead Singer.this is a strong collection of there Material.
