- Flick Hits
When all the smoke clears, there can be no doubt that Creedence Clearwater Revival was premier American hitmakers of the late '60s-early '70s.It is inevitable that filmkers would include Creedence songs in their soundtracks.Their swamp rock chooglin' and John Fogerty's raspy voice seem to invoke pleasent memories of not so long ago.In this compilation, you'll hear songs from these movies:AN AMERICAN WEREWOLF IN LONDON,FORREST GUMP ,WHERE THE BUFFALO ROAM,THE WATER BOY,WHO'LL STOP THE RAIN,THE TWILIGHT ZONE,MICHAEL,THE BIG LEBOWSKI,and one or two others that escape me for the moment. All the songs qualify as classic Creedence, and there is not one filler track amongst them. This is a good album to start you onto the magic music that is Creedence;then move onto CHRONICLE 1&2,then the studio albums.
- It' ok
As I described most of my CD's, you get a great price, free delivery and a guarantee on top of that. Super performers and mostly all good songs.

- Good beginner's compilation...
...but if you want the really Nitty Gritty on Creedence, get the 2 Chronicle compilations.
However, those 2 albums neglect the awesome "Keep On Chooglin'" that is included here, because of it's use in the Hunter Thompson semi-biopic "Where The Buffalo Roam". And "Keep On Chooglin'" is a good enough song that should've been on Chronicle 2, in place of the extremely unnecessary "Susie Q (Part 2)".
If you got the Chronicle albums, get this for "Keep On Chooglin'". That's it.

- A Nice Collection...
My ex-whatever bought me this album for my birthday a couple of years back and it was the only good thing I ever got from her. This is rock n' roll pure and simple. Everyone should have at least 1 album from these guys if only to understand what musical passion really is. Let's get down to it...
THE GOOD: 1) EVERYTHING. On this particular album, every song is a classic. From the down to earth BORN ON THE BAYOU to the moving WHO'LL STOP THE RAIN, you can not go wrong by letting this one play on your CD machine. 2) PASSION. This one's got heart behind every single lyric. John Fogerty is the master of "working man" rock. He fills our souls with just what it is like to be pushed around by corporate america. Every song writer, heck every writer, out today could learn a thing or two just from listening to the way this man composes and the passion in evey line. 3) THE BAND. Once again, this is a prime example of what chemistry can do for you. Like Led Zep. and Black Sabbath, these guys had the right elements and social climate to make them super stars and we, the public, are better for having had them around.
THE BAD: 1) TOO COUNTRY AT TIMES. If there is one critic that can be given to this band, it comes from their B sides. At times, they are a little to country in there sound. But this is only a minor point and should not discourage any and all from running out and collecting this band.
THE BOTTOM LINE: Outstanding, both this album and all the rest. I can not say enough good things about these guys. If you do not own one of their albums then you MUST go and get one; anyone it does not matter. This is a MUST HAVE album for any collection.....and no, it does not matter if you have Kenny G or Michael Boulton right next to Creedence ClearWater.
