Though brief, {^Stash} offers an incredible array of {$Cypress Hill} recordings, half of which are remixed by in-house producer {$DJ Muggs}, half by outside producers {$Fredwreck}, {$Tony Morello}, and {$the Alchemist}. The {$Muggs} remixes -- the "Harpsichord Mix" of {&"Illusions,"} the "Blackout Mix" of {&"Latin Lingo,"} and the "Slow Roll Remix" of {&"Throw Your Set in the Air"} -- are mostly straightforward, never departing too far from the originals, often slowing down the tempo. Conversely, the outside producers do depart from the originals quite considerably: {$Fredwreck} gives {&"Amplified"} his patented {\G-funk} sound, {$Morello} infuses {&"Checkmate"} with violent guitars, and {$the Alchemist} delivers a serene yet incredibly paranoid version of {&"(Rap) Superstar."} The resulting six-track collection of these previously released remixes offers much variety in a brief amount of time. Considering this, {^Stash} shouldn't be written off as a throwaway B-sides collection but rather should be viewed as an interesting variation of the standard {$Cypress Hill} sound. ~ Jason Birchmeier, All Music Guide
