- Only one con.

This doesn't pertain to the audio quality of the music, or the music itself. In my copy of this CD, the names were totally messed up. The original mix was now the Vitalic Remix, and the No logic remix was the Vitalic Remix. I don't know if this happened for anyone else, but it doesn't take away the beauty of this single.

- Vitalic defrags and upgrades Technologic!

I purchased this CD after hearing an incredible remix of Technologic on Sirius satellite radio, and much to my delight, that remix was on this version of the Technologic single. The remix I am speaking of is of course the Vitalic remix of Technologic. On this track, Vitalic has taken Technologic and transformed it into an aggressive electro-house assault, adding a new dimension to the song, as well as making it much more dynamic and versatile in the long run. While it loses some of it's mainstream appeal (Vitalic left Daft Punk's vocals unprocessed and the beat is nowhere as nearly repetitive), it gains a much more powerful feel to it, giving Daft Punk a much needed surprise hit for the summer-fall of 2005. And if one likes the original version of Technologic more than the Vitalic one... well that mix is on here as well.

The same cannot be said for the Peaches remix of Technologic though. Peaches has turned the song into a strange techno song with lots of women yelling the lyrics... and really not much else that is too memorable. While it is an... interesting spin on the song supposedly, it is definitely not something that you will probably be wanting to leave on repeat.

The video for Technologic itself is a great video, but you cannot view it unless you have the CD put into a computer; still, it's a great plus since this is such a short single.

Sadly, the Technologic single is lacking two mixes (the Basement Jaxx mix, which I have not heard, and the radio edit). The missing tracks can be found on digital download places such as itunes, but that still does not make up for cheapening feel that one might have when they realize they might have to buy two versions of the single to get the 'whole' single. The Peaches mix again is also another downturn, as it pales so much in comparison to the freshness of the Vitalic mix. If it were not for the Vitalic mix of Technologic, there would be almost no logic in buying this.
