- A True Fan'z Respect For Boundless Talent
I am an enormous fan of Danzig's work. I am impatiently awaiting Like a ravenous, blood thirsty, wolf of demonic origin, for Danzig Se7en. Glenn Danzig is and will be the only artist which deserves and receives my undivided respect for his originality and uniqueness. His unmistakable voice and musical talents have only gotten better with time. If you were to ask me, I would say that he is at his best at the present time.
There is nothing that compares to his boundless talent (music, lyrics, visual arts, story lines, etc.) and his views regarding the existence that we are all aware of; in our own ways. I respect him for his straight-forward "no bull**it" attitude. I enjoy every last song from the beginning of his artistic journey with the Misfits up to the very last song on his Satans Child effort.
BlackAciDevil was very different, but different does not mean that it is bad. I personally think that it is one of his most creative and intuitively modern efforts. I can't stand to hear people speak with disgust, and say that they used to be fans (up until that album), when it is mentioned. It seems that they are not true fans of the Man's artistic talents. It's like they selfishly want him to stay stuck in the past and produce the sound he had produced in the first 2 albums.
It's amazing that they don't realize how the technology for the production of music has changed so dramatically and has offered endless options that cannot be ignored. I believe he took full advantage of this fact in the production of BlackAciDevil. That album is a perfect example of his straight-forward "I don't give a sh**" attitude that I admire. Just because others don't agree is no reason to not do what he wants.
He stands STRONG about his beliefs and attitude toward life and HIS music. We are fortunate to have such a man sharing his take on reality with us on the planet. I Thank Glenn Danzig for all of the incredible contributions to my life by means of his music and related arts over the years.

- A New Sound From a Brand new God!
Where should I begin... Well I am an old school fan and I have been following this man since the Misfits and I can Tell ya this.. If Your Not a true fan then you won't like this album let alone understand it. There Has been soooo much complaining about this PROGRESSIVE ALBUM that it makes me ill. Danzig I-IV were wonderful for the time period BUT you need to change and go with the flow just like he does. The album is cutting edge using new technologies and sounds. The industrial sound was carried out in this album and I give him credit for doing so because NIN and Marylin Manson he was not copying or imitating at all. If you notice that this album came out before MM big hit Sweet Dreams was around.
Ministry was a great industrial band and I loved their sound and when I heard BlackAciDevil I was floored. The pace of the songs and monster riffs were just there and right in your face. Sacrafice is just pure chaos in the chourus. The adrenaline in the first few songs wanna make you scream yell and get out all the angst that is hidden inside you. Come to Silver is a very somber song and Jerry Cantrell (alice in chains) has just rounded out the song perfectly.
Ashes is my favorite and I dunno why? Its very dark and haunting. The voice is so errie and with the piano sounding off key really sends the chill.
Now I originaly bought this album when it first came out and I never had the pleasure of having the reissue until recently. Due to my having to going with the flow and technology I had to buy everything on CD and store my cassettes. Ha hahahah!~!! So The new songs were added later.. and they sound good as well.
Overall the Album is solid in the tracks and songs. The structure of the album was perfect... The only flaw is on certain soungs is the voice.... Too much distortion at times and cannot understand him because the sound levels are to low but it is a great album and a true changing of the guard. The transition to 6:66 was successful and this album out of all will stand out forever and forever stand the test of time!!! Keep em guessing Glenn!!!

- Finally "Blackacidevil" is available again.
Many people really started complaining at the first release of Danzig 5, angry at the loss of most all blues presense, angry about the distortion on the vocals. But we all know how much the public hates change. This album shows Glenn's technical side, mixing actual instruments with synthesizers and other effects. This also technically is the first album with Joey and Lazie, the new bandmembers. This definately isn't your classic Danzig, but nonetheless it's a great recording. Even if you're not a fan of industrial/techo music, remember that anything with the Danzig touch is magic. Top tracks : "Blackacidevil" "Sacrifice"

- Who are these people kidding?
This is the worst Danzig album ever! On this album, Danzig tries to appeal to fans of coldwave and industrial music, and he fails miserably. Danzig is not the kind of band that needs to be attempting a Nine Inch Nails sound. If Trent Reznor made a an album that sounded like Lucifuge we'd all start chucking tomatoes at him. Same applies here. I have absolutely no idea why these bozos are asking for so much money for this crappy CD, but I urge you to avoid this album until it drops to....like a penny. It's terrible.

- eh....ok
bought this CD when it 1st came out as i was a huge Danzig fan. Some songs on here are great (Sacrifice, See All You Were, Hand of Doom) and the rest are just all right. I have no roblem with Danzig doing the electronic thing, but he could have at least produced the album better. The vocals are buried on almost every song and the reason you buy a Danzig album is for Glen's voice.
