Who's That Cameraman?
Seriously, check out the linebacker with the camera. Rrrraaaooooww. Oh, and there's Chris Daughtry, who recently played a carnival or something in Seattle. Daughtry is the most successful American Idol contestant after Kelly, Clay and that crazy bitch who vandalizes trucks. Oh America, what's wrong, sweetie? What are you doing? This? Really?
Amid the smell of hay and fried fair food, Daughtry stepped off the television screen and rocked Puyallup with those goose-bumpy ballads that have made him "American Idol's" most famous fourth-place contestant. Wearing a snug T-shirt, ripped jeans and a thick leather band on one wrist, and hanging on the microphone, he fronted a four-piece rock band that shares his last name.
My chickens are done. I could cut glass with my nipples, I'm so turned on. This is terrible, terrible music. What is it with the Nickelback revolution, in which they disguise soft rock with louder guitar and excessive jewelry? Gross.

Chris Daughtry Is Doing Pretty Well For Himself
While Chris Daughtry didn't end up winning "American Idol" in 2006, that was probably the best outcome that could have happened for him. He didn't have to sing the "Idol" song.
Daughtry is in the midst of a sold-out tour with guitarists Brian Craddock and Josh Steely, bassist Josh Paul and drummer Joey Barnes. When putting his band together, Daughtry focused immensely on the audition process to find musicians with just the right chemistry and hint of panache. Obviously, he hit the nail on the head.
The album's debut single "It's Not Over" has made its mark on the top of every major music industry chart, including Hot AC chart, the Top 40 Singles Chart and a No. 1 spot on the Adult Top 40 chart.
In addition, the single sold more than 800,000 copies and maintained a spot in the Top 10 Digital Songs chart.
"The tremendous radio and video support, the great crowds we get at our shows, the intensity of our online fans -- all of it -- is everything any artist could ever ask for," said Daughtry.

Everyone On Earth Was At The American Music Awards
Including this flawless creature named RIhanna. She looks like a futuristic American Girl doll, doesn't she? She should come equipped with a jet pack, and her own tesseract device. The American Music Awards were held at the Shrine Auditorium in LA, last night and were packed to the rafter with winners from "American Idol". Chris Daughtry's Nickelback-lite (which is probably worse than actual Nickelback) band Daughtry and truck-destroying vandal Carrie Underwood picked up awards. Chris Daughtry's hellish band won for Favorire Breakthrough Artist and Favorie Adult Contemporary Artist. Underwood won for Favorite Female Country Artist. Someone please stop "American Idol" before it directs everything cultural in our lives. Justin Timberlake took the Favorite Male Artist prize. He sent in a taped acceptance speech from Australia, where he's been attacked by magpies.
Jimmy Kimmel hosted for the fourth year (poor bastard) and dispensed with a monologue, blaming the Writer's Guild of America strike. The awards' voting system was altered this year. Instead of a poll of 20,000 music writers as in previous years, fans could vote in an online poll on ABC's website. Ratings for the show have been down in recent years, and several artists couldn't be bothered to show up to collect their awards last year. Dude, it's the American Music Awards and I just got some really good coke. Do the math. I think there was a tribute to Pat Benatar last year functioning as the highlight of that mess. At least I taped an acceptance speech and said I was in Australia.
