Dave Jolicoeur and Kelvin Mercer, two of the three founding members of De La Soul , have started a new project. They've both taken on a number of nicknames throughout their careers (Trugoy, Posdnuos) but for this project, titled First Serve , they're going by Jacob ...

Even if it's only part of the crew, a new De La Soul project is always worth checking. Posdnous and Dave of De La Soul are now Jacob "Pop Life" Barrow and Deen “D” Whittier, respectively, under the moniker of ' First Serve .'
