 Demon Hunter is a Seattle based metalcore band which first received wide notice in 2002 with the release of their self-titled album on Solid State Records. At first the members of the band chose to hide their identities, creating some controversy over the band. However, their names were later revealed when they undertook their first tour. This was not an attempt to parody mainstream metal, as many people believe, but to make it so that you fell in love with the music - the band and not the people in the band. They didn't want people to be biased toward the band members.
