Dimmu Borgir get set for ambitious new album

Dimmu Borgir have unveiled details of their ambitious forthcoming album. In addition to working with composer Gaute Storaas, the Norwegian symphonic black metallers have invited the 51-strong Kork orchestra and the Schola Cantorum Choir to record parts on their ninth studio album. The as-yet-untitled follow-up to 2007's In Sorte Diaboli will be released on October 11 through Nuclear Blast.

Dimmu Borgir part ways with two members

Dimmu Borgir have parted ways with bassist Vortex and keyboard player Mustis. "We want to make it perfectly clear that the creative force in the band is highly intact, perhaps even more so than ever," reads an official statement from the band.
