- Brilliant B-Side
Not only is "Snowden" one of the Doves' best efforts ever, but it's amazing that "Son Of A Builder" didn't make it on to "Some Cities."
It's a great example of how creative this band is ultimately, and I pity those who left them behind after "Lost Souls," they are one of the best, most widely appealing active rock bands.
If "Son Of A Builder" was a marketing tactic to attract more mainstream fans, then it was a shrewd move, it's an excellent song.

- EXCELLENT
Arguably, "Son of a Builder" is up there with the best of the tracks on "Some Cities". BUT! THERE IS NO REASON TO BUY THIS SINGLE--DOVES HAVE AUTHORIZED 7digital.com TO SELL THIS TRACK AND OTHER SOME CITIES B-SIDES! I would also highly recommend downloading "Eleven Miles Out" and "At the Tower", both Black and White Town b-sides that hover above ALL of the other tracks on Some Cities. Doves have a habit of hiding their best songs deep within their catalogue, but it is well worth the expense!
- Excellent single
For those after older style doves songs these 2 are fairly in line with those expectations compared to the BWT singles.
Very good songs with slightly more edgier rythem than lost souls or last broadcast songs. Worth buying.
