- Will Scheff Article Prompted me to see this
An amazing writer named Will Scheff wrote a review of this DVD that is hilarious and profound...it says more than I ever could, and better too.
Go to WillScheff dot com and look for the article 'We Never Have to Be Alone - Dr. Hook and the Medicine Show, Live 1974.' It's an amazing read.
After reading this you'll know whether you want this DVD or not. I sure do!

- what this whole rock and roll thing should be about
the most entertaining footage of any band i have come across. hopefully most of you know that the band was shel silverstein's performance pimps....decked out, ready to boogie, and raucous in their jubilee. the unpretentiousness makes you want to dismiss any band who took/takes themselves and their music too seriously...one of those "careful, you may pee your pants from laughter" sort of deal..so keep a diaper handy.....shel's pimps....glorious!!!!!

- Dr.Hook and the Medicine Show
If you like early 1970's Dr.Hook and the Medicine Show and the theme of "On the cover of the Rolling Stone" you'll like this. I really enjoyed Ray Sawyer's triple Alabama yodel. It's a bunch of guys having fun and celebrating rock & roll. I just wish it was longer, but it's definitly worth buying and watching.
