Motley Crue Go Cruising in a Ambulance to Announce Crue Fest 2 TourPhoto: Mazur/WireImage Mötley Crüe rolled up outside the 7th Avenue headquarters of Fuse TV in New York this afternoon in an old-school Cadillac Miller-Meteor ambulance that resembled the Ecto-1. Vince Neil, Nikki Sixx, Tommy Lee and Mick Mars emerged — with two emaciated Goth chicks wearing sexy nurse outfits, of course — and posed for photographs with fans who had gathered for one the band’s now signature public tour announcements. This time the rockers were in town to tell all about Crüe Fest 2, which kicks off in Camden, New Jersey, on July 19th with openers Godsmack, Drowning Pool, Theory of a Dead Man and Charm City Devils. The tour is a bold move considering other festivals and treks are scaling back due to the recession. “I just didn’t want to go up against the economy, and start to put together a package with 21 artists and go out there,” Sharon Osbourne said of nixing this year’s Ozzfest. But the members of the world’s most dangerous rock & roll band are a bit more optimistic about Crüe Fest 2: The White Trash Circus. “On the first Crüe Fest, the economy was pretty much the same as it is now, and it didn’t seem like it affected sales at all,” says frontman Neil. “I think people still want to go out and have a good time, listening to some good rock music, and maybe forget about the shitty economy, have a couple of beers, and let loose.” “When the economy goes to shit, entertainment is the one steady,” adds bassist Nikki Sixx. “That and alcohol. Ozzfest also paved the way for us to think about what we wanted to do in the future, and I’m excited to see that it’s had its run and it did what it did for a lot of fans, and hopefully, we can do the same thing.” Crüe Fest 2 will feature the band ripping through their entire 1989 classic Dr. Feelgood, as this September marks the 20th anniversary of the album’s release. Neil said fans will get their first chance to hear several of the disc’s tracks for the first time live, as well as hits from the Crüe’s immense ba

Rev Theory Assault Rock Radio, American Cities, Pro Wrestlers The men of Rev Theory live by a single axiom: “People are always going to want good, loud rock music,” says guitarist Julien Jorgensen. It’s a mantra that has served them well, as the band’s two rugged, anthemic, distortion-heavy singles “Light It Up” and “Hell Yeah” are both becoming more and more ubiquitous at rock radio. They have their commitment to the road and the rubs they’ve received from bands like Seether to thank, but they also have to lend some credit to a handful of giant men wearing very little clothing. “Light It Up” got its first big exposure as the official theme song for this year’s Wrestlemania, an event they actually attended. Though they are fans themselves, they were overwhelmed by the investment of the gentlemen sitting next to them. “We had these amazing seats, and we sat right next to Freddie Prinze, Jr. and Macaulay Culkin,” explains singer Rich Luzzi. “They were jumping up and down, yelling and explaining moves to us. I was like, ‘You guys know they script this stuff, right?’ They were so much fun.” The group wrapped a successful tour with Seether and Flyleaf and are currently on the road with Drowning Pool, which will take them up to the June 10th release of their album Light It Up (check out their current itinerary after the jump). Until then, they’ll keep having to explain why they changed their moniker from Revelation Theory. “You really want to know why?” asks Luzzi. “People keep asking us why we changed our name from ‘Revolution Theory.’ That’s why.” Rev Theory May 8 - Pensacola, Florida @ Capt’n Fun May 9 - Tallahassee, Florida @ Floyd’s Music Store May 10 - Orlando, Florida WJRR Earthday Birthday 15 @ Tinker Field May 11 - Pascagoula, Mississippi @ Thunder’s Tavern May 13 - Augusta, Georgia @ The Country Club May 14 - Myrtle Beach, South Carolina @ Hard Roc

Social worker accused of wrongful death by Hunter Tylo Former Bold and the Beautiful star Hunter Tylo, 45, has accused a therapist of wrongful death in connection with the tragic accident Oct. 18 which ultimately claimed the life of her son Michael. According to US, Hunter claims that Shanna Downing misdiagnosed Michael, 19, when she suggested seizures he was experiencing were "stress-related," despite the fact that he had suffered from the disorder since the age of 15. Hunter also accuses Shanna of planting her son with "false memories." Michael died by drowning after suffering a seizure while standing near the pool at the Tylo's family home in Nevada. In an interview on Larry King Live shortly after his death, Hunter said that Shanna had been treating Michael for approximately 18-months prior to the accident, and that the seizures did not decrease in frequency as a result of her care. Hunter and her husband Michael have two daughters, Izabella Gabrielle, 10 1/2 and Katya Ariel, 9 1/2. Hunter also has a son, Christopher, 27, from her first marriage to Tim Moreheart. Health And Safety Bans Floats From Swimming PoolHEALTH & Safety headline of the day: “Prudhoe pool bans floats for health & safety.” A SWIMMING pool has stopped issuing water wings and floats – for health and safety reasons. The flotation aids are designed to keep children safe from drowning, but staff at Waterworld in Prudhoe have been told not to hand them out. Bosses at North Country Leisure, which runs the Northumberland pool, said inflatables and floats could pass on infections. As can children pass on bugs. And if a few can be culled, then it is surely for the common good… Source

Last-Minute Settlement in Seth Tobias CaseSeth TobiasPhoto:CNBC In the months following the drowning of hedge-fund manager Seth Tobias in his Palm Beach swimming pool, the stories of what exactly happened that night in September turned wild and sordid: His brothers alleged that his wife, Filomena "Phyllis" Tobias, killed her husband for his rumored $25 million fortune. Filomena's Internet psychic claimed that Seth was a cokehead who had frequent liaisons with male strippers and said that Filomena admitted to him that she had served her husband an Ambien-laced plate of pasta and coerced him into a pool with promises of sex with a male stripper called Tiger (so called because of the tiger-striped tattoos across his back) "We definitely had sex," said Tiger, for his part. "He may have talked about me with Filomena during his drug binges. I may have been the only guy he'd ever been with. He may have thought I was his boyfriend. She may have gotten jealous." At one point, another psychic called Madam Simbi M'Arue came forward and said Filomena had paid her to put a curse on Tobias. It was, to say the least, an undignified end for the frequent CNBC commentator. But for the rest of us, it was pretty entertaining. And the trial, which was due to start today, promised to be even more entertaining. Which is probably why this past weekend, Filomena, who was never actually charged with a crime, agreed to settle, giving Seth's brothers an undisclosed chunk of his fortune—as long as they promised to take back all the mean things they'd said. "A full retraction," was the way sister Nancy Antoloni described the settlement. Though we certainly understand Filomena's desire to make this whole thing go away, we're not so sure this is the smartest idea: Labels like "drug-addled crazy alleged murderess" have a way of sticking, we hear.
