Dru Hill Album: “Indrupendence Day”

Awful CD...wish I hadnt paid full price for it. Everyone needs to evolve but DRU HILL needs to go back to the R&B they are known for. Album was weak didnt keep my interest. I skipped mostly all songs except for 1. Please do not purchase.

I love this album and im pleased to know "Last Dragon" is on the way too! This album takes a harder edge than the previous one's and I like the change in direction. The style reminds me of something Genuwine was doing back in his day. R&B for thugs! Im a true fan so I dont mind the change and im not going to whine over how it's not like the old stuff. Time to move on. I am so glad Dru Hill is back in action. I have no complaints about the album. Love it love it love it!....

In todays BS ridden music market with tweens tryin to be hardcore, girls tryin to be gangsta, and R&B becoming a distant memory its nice to have a taste of the past with a new mix. Gotta say I havent found that the artist I grew up with in high school have faired very well when they make an album now but Dru Hill does just fine. They always seemed ahead of the curve anyway and if you listen to their last album now it doesnt stand out as old. So this album seems to fit right in with the new sound. A lot of the music gets you movin right away and the remake of an 80's pop song was unexpected but a good look. Bottom line if you like Dru Hill and like 90's and early 2000's music and miss it you will definitely need to pick this up.

THIS ALBUM IS AWESOME, ANY DRU HILL FAN WOULD LOVE THIS, I DO MISS WOODY BUT HEY, LIFE GOES ON......AND THE RAPPING IS JUST SO COOL, DONT HAVE TIME TO START EXPLAINING, JUST BUY THE CD AND U WONT REGRET IT. OH YEAH, NOT A BIG FAN OF MAKING LUV BUT THATS THE ONLY SONG, OUT OF 13 FREAKING AWESOME TRACKS

I love me some Dru Hill. Wasn't happy when they broke up and when I heard they were coming back out...pure excitement. Wasn't happy about the fact that Woody wasn't gonna be apart of the group but I figured they would still be able to keep their same sound. How wrong was I. This new member totally gives Dru Hill a differnt sound. Unless Sisqo is singing, you can't really tell it's them. I can hardly recognize Jazz on any of the songs but that's probably because none of the songs really grab you anyway. But that Tao dude. OMG!!! His voice is worse than nails on a chalkboard. He can definitely sing but he sings too much and too high. Usually singers start low and end high. This guy starts high and continues on a high note throughout every song he's on. Especially that one he sings all by himself. It's excruciating on the ears. Somebody shoulda told him to bring it down not just a notch but about 100 notches. I'm very disappointed in this album. Tao would be bearable if the songs were good but I only liked one, really (the first song). Get Woody back for the next album PLEASE!!! And why haven't any songs been released from this album or any videos made? At least I haven't heard anything on the radio or seen anything on tv. If it weren't for Amazon, I wouldn't have even known they came back out with anything.
