- Harder, but a little soft.
I received the CD today and I am very pleased that everclear has not produced another "learning how to smile". This CD has some good songs with guitar like the popular When it All Goes Wrong Again. Other songs like Slide, Rock Star, and Baby Talk are good. GTBA is a nice CD by everclear and will please most of the music fans out there!
- Oops...
Everclear's Vol. 2 Good Time for a Bad Attitude is a big let down for me. I bought it the day it came out because I'm a big Everclear fan, but after all this time, it's my least favorite Everclear album.
There is one standout track, Good Witch of the North. This was supposed to be a big rock album, so it's ironic that the best song on here is an acoustic love song. Overwhelming is a good song, but Art Alexakis already recorded it as a solo song, so it's not too exciting here. It's old news by now. Misery Whip is probably the best rock song. The riffs are great and it rocks! It's a song about rough sex, which is a little too much for me, so maybe I don't like the song that much, but it's a good song. Song from an American Movie pt. 2 had the potential to be one of Everclear's best songs, but I don't think it comes close. Many fans love this song, but I don't. I think the melody is extremely boring. You can't really have fun singing along to it. And the words are just ok. The song is about life, and moving on from a divorce and being with your family, which is a great subject, but sometimes the words don't make sense to me. It seems a little forced.
The rest of the record is either mediocre (When it All Goes Wrong Again, Rock Star) or very bad (Babytalk, All [messed] Up). Everclear labeled this as a rock album and some people loved it as a rock album, claiming Vol 1 Learning How to Smile was too poppy, but I think they've been fooled. Although Everclear is a rock band, rock is not what Everclear has always been about. Good songs is what Everclear has been about, and this album is lacking that. When you substitute rock for good songs, it doesn't really work, and that's what happened here. Although I love this band, I do not love this album. If you're looking for some Everclear music that rocks, go with "Sparkle and Fade" or "World of Noise," because those albums are made up of great songs.

- Great c.d
All songs are great especially All F***ked up. Some of the songs sound alike, but I like the way it sounds. Everclears best c.d definitely. Better than their old junk. Great rock c.d. Don't be discouraged by songs from an American movie vol. 1. This c.d is much better, and is a lo more like rock.

- This Is not the best of everclear But is still ever heven.
Hi, open minded reader this is among the cd's that Make you love music so much. If you have ever listened to everclear before you now what I'm taking about. These lyrics arn't as much from the heart as those of "So Much for the After Glow", "Sparkle and Fade" or even to a lesser extent "Songs From an American Movie Volume 1: Learning how to Smile". Some of these songs are very nagative tords life like "OverWhelmed" Others are just an exceptence of what life is Like "Misery Whip" and "Songs from an American Movie 2". I think that these lyrics were writen during a difficult time for (lead singer) Art because these lyrics were writen when the band was prepareing to break up and this was for his solow album. These lyrics were writen before those of volume 1 and thus these lyrics have a more pesimistic view on life than volume 1. Why? because these lyrics were written rite after his devorce and his relationship with his daughter was in the balance. All and all this is an amazing cd which deserves to be listened to many times.

- Not Everclear's Best
I May Be The Only One Who Does'nt Like When It All Goes Wrong Again, I Do Like Rock Star, Out Of My Depth, And Song From An American Movie Part 2. That's Enough To Get 3 Stars.
