- As the 203rd Reviewer of this Album...

I selfishly pride myself on liking bands no one has heard of and/or bands that aren't on the radio, but these stupid guys made me like a "cool" band. If you've made it this far you know what type of band you are getting yourself into, but unlike most bands that pop up for a year then disappear, these guys have put out good cds back to back. Yes buy this CD you won't be disappointed. The lyrics are great and the music even better. Seriously, I hate to have to write a review like that about a band that is on the radio all the time, but these guys are solid.

- OH MAN! what a find!

A friend recently recommended fallout boy and even ended up getting me the cd. first time through i really enjoyed "where is your boy" and "dead on arrival", but didnt think a whole lot of the rest of the cd. the next day i found myself humming a bunch of the other songs. needless to say i was hooked. my personal favorites are "where is your boy", "pros and cons of breathing", "grenade jumper" and "tell that mick...". definitely worth whatever price theyre offering, esp. if youre into any this type of music. great lyrics that really make every song fun to listen to and some of the best catchy tunes ive heard in awhile.

- The songs you grow to like never stick at first...

I was a bit aprehensive when purchasing this c.d. because a friend told me it was good, but they underestimated it!

Fall Out Boy's "Take This To Your Grave" has all the quick paced music, humorously bitter lyrics, and perfectly timed screamo than you can shake a stick at. My three favorite songs on the c.d. are "Tell Mick He Just Made My List...", "Grand Theft Autum", and "Sending Postcards From A Plane Crash" because they're face paced, in your face lyrics, catchy riffs, and they make you wanna jump up and down! This band has quickly shot to the top of my favorite band list not only cause they're AMAZING live, but because their music is really fresh and raw. Buy this c.d. you won't be dissapointed!

- Surprisingly addicting

I first heard a few of these songs online somewhere (SoundClick, Pure Volume, one of those) and I was impressed to say the least. I got the CD and sent it through my normal CD rotation, but it didn't get played nearly as much as other CDs in my collection. On day I went on a long drive and listened to this CD all the way to where I was going and all the way back and realized that this CD was unbelievably good. It really grew on me, to the point where they are one of my favorite bands.

First off, yes this band is poppy and "not all hardcore!" so if that's what you're looking for, look elsewhere. The lyrics that this band has are creative and sometimes qutie humorous. I especially love the way that they sing the lyrics though. Hardly any of them rhyme, but they're put together in a great way. The music behind the lyrics is as well very sound. More creative than a lot of songs that I've heard recently. They throw in guitar riffs, bass riffs, and drum riffs more often than normal, but keep it from sounding busy, overall contributing to a sound that it pleasing.

Song breakdown is as follows...

"Tell Mick That He Just Made My List of Things to Do Today" - 9/10 - Great way to start off the CD. A lot of energy and passion here

"Dead on Arrival" - 8/10 - Kind of repetitive, and gets old after a bit, but still pretty good

"Grand Theft Autumn (Where is Your Boy)" - 10/10 - Great song with new ideas. Moves along well

"Saturday" - 7/10 - My least favorite song on the album. It starts out good, but loses it by the end

"Homesick at Space Camp" - 9/10 - Good not great. But a very catchy chorus

"Sending Postcards from a Plane Crash (Wish You Were Here" - 9/10 - Once again, good not great. Moves along good, but is a big repetitive

"Chicago is so Two Years Ago" - 10/10 - BEST SONG ON THE ALBUM. I just love this song for some reason...great energy, great chorus...great everything

"The Pros and Cons of Breathing" - 8/10 - Ish...I can't really explain why. The song slightly irks me

"Grenade Jumper" - 9/10 - Fast and fun

"Calm Before The Storm" - 10/10 - Slower, but moves along well, with a good sound

"Reinventing the Wheel to run Myself Over" - 8/10 - Supposed to be very fast, with a lot of energy. Love the chorus, but the rest of the song is just alright

"The Patron Saint of Liars and Fakes" - 9/10 - A darker and harder song, but the chorus modulation is jacked from TBS! In any case, still a good song.

- Good despite any dumb sterotypes Fall Out Boy has

I admit, it took me a while to get over myself and start listening to this album. But once I did, I was completely hooked. This CD has a wierd nostalgic vibe, even though I'd never heard half the songs on the album. It is just a really easy listen that makes you happy, and makes you want to dance. And believe me, I dont dance. Also, I think the lead singers voice sounds different than it does on their new album, and frankly I prefer it on this CD.

Best Songs: Tell Mick He Just Made My List of Things To Do Today, Grand Theft Autumn, Dead On Arrival, The Pros and Cons of Breathing.

Also, I feel pretty sorry for whoever these songs are written about, for instance:

Let's play this game called "when you catch fire"

I wouldn't piss to put you out

Stop burning bridges and drive off of them

....hahahahhaha, classy.
