Review - :
{$Flaw} is one of the few groups to eschew {\post-grunge} à la {$Creed} and modern-day {\rap-metal}, preferring to instead play straightforward metallic {\rock} that relies less upon gimmickry and more on musical prowess and aggression, making the group peers of latter-day {$Metallica} and {$Staind}. Vocalist {$Chris Volz}'s powerful and melodious singing voice leads almost all of the tracks on {^Through the Eyes}, with solid yet unspectacular guitars and rhythms layered underneath his emotive vocals. When he screams, though, it's as if he feels obligated to try, and a few catchy tracks -- such as the lead single {&"Payback"} and the eerie {&"My Letter"} -- are surrounded by filler that fails to stick. [This version of the album includes bonus material.] ~ Brian O'Neill, All Music Guide
