Book Harvest ( www.bookharvestnc.org ) is a local nonprofit started in January 2011 which collects new and gently used children's books and places them in the hands and homes of children who need them.

Looking back: Should we really be letting Mother Goose die?
A book I had been searching for the past several years popped up before my very eyes recently. It’s a sweet little book, copyrighted in 1912. A sticker in the book claims it was the “Property of School District Number 30, Stephenson County 1917.” Handwritten on the flyleaf are the words “Epleyanna Library 1917.”
