It may have been a couple of years since their last album "25 Miles to Kissimee" but with a new line up and a somewhat heavier sound, Fool's Garden have certainly not lost their musical abilities. The first track "Welcome Sun" rocks away, though it does sound a lot like something you'd expect from Oasis. "Comedy Song", which is actually my favourite reminds me of when "Lemon Tree" first came out. The song, whilst lyrically quite silly, is just so catchy and well constructed it deserves the attention of any Fool's Garden fan. "Does Anybody Know" is probably one of the heavier songs on the CD and it rocks! This is an awesome song to play live. "Man Of Devotion" sounds like a B-side to "It Can Happen". It has a nice beat but I feel that another song could've been released as a single instead. "Count On Me" is the ballard on the album. The CD closes with the song "Peter Is Riding His Horse". There is also a remastered version of "Dreaming" as a bonus track. Not exactly sure why it is on here but I guess it's good to have if you don't have their previous album. Overall I'd give the album 8 out of 10. I very much look forward to their next album.
After 'Dish of the day' this is the best CD of Fool's Garden. We see, or best I must say, we hear that in this days of commercial music (DJ's, "punchis-punchis", etc.) for people with money and little musical appreciation, that it even exists groups making excelent music like this.
It's a must in your CD collection.
