Single Minded: Lil Wayne Remixes, Fugazi’s Stage Banter, The Bravery Covers Fleet FoxesPhoto: Legato/FilmMagic Fugazi, Stage Banter [Stage Banter] So, let’s be clear about something: Single Minded loves Fugazi. Loves. And hearing this stage banter — charming, confrontational, aggressive, passionate — just reminds us of all the reasons why. Clare & the Reasons, “That’s All” [Genesis Cover] This rules: Brooklyn chamber-pop crew Clare & the Reasons give “That’s All” the “Tusk” treatment, tricking it out with tubas and making it sound slinky and sinister. Les Savy Fav - Let's Stay Friends Artist: Les Savy Fav Review: Let's stay friends is the first album of new songs in six years from indie-rock madcaps Les Savy Fav, yet it sounds like a band that's just hitting a peak. These Brooklyn-via-Providence, Rhode Island, dudes veer between art-punk guitar and disco drums, managing to fuse Fugazi circa In on the Kill Taker with Chic circa Risque. Led Zeppelin Announce Reissues, Madonna Collabo Hits the Web, Police Say “Don’t Call It a Reunion” Led Zeppelin will be putting out three reissues starting with a two-disc best-of collection called Mothership on November 13. A week later, their 1976 concert movie The Song Remains the Same will hit stores as a DVD, as will a repackaged version of its soundtrack bolstered with unreleased material. “Candy Shop,” the alleged first cut of the Madonna/Justin Timberlake/Timbaland super-collaboration, has found its way online. The Spice Girls have expanded their upcoming reunion tour following more than 3 million requests for tickets. The Police have added a fourth night in Toronto to their much discussed tour, though guitarist Andy Summers says the band hasn’t reunited, but come together “more like a new band.” Online punks have started a very DIY rumor: that Fugazi will reunite in September. LISTEN UP: Amy Winehouse Sobers Up Long Enough To Be AwesomeAmy Winehouse bothered to show up to one of her scheduled performances and ended up impressing T-Sides enough to post a few of her tracks. *Sixeyes flirts with some cute Canadian girls and posts tracks from Feist, Tegan and Sara, and Mary Margaret O'Hara. Bishop Allen has recorded a very unlikely cover of a Fugazi song, and You Ain't No Picasso is there to tell you about it. Speaking of interesting/unlikely covers, Fabulist! has The Cure doing their best Jimi Hendrix. Described by one my friends
