Gomez Album: “We Haven't Turned Around [UK #2]”

As previously mentioned, this disc is worth paying for just to get Gomez in a Bucket in your hot little hands. I'm not sure how to describe it beyond 'listen to it and you'll find out'. Stunning, simply.

First on here is the X-Ray version of We Haven't Turned Around. I prefer the album, but it's fun nonetheless.

And track 3 is Emergency Surgery. If you're a Gomez completist, this is a slightly different version from the Abandoned Shopping Trolley Hotline version. How thrilling!

Gomez in a Bucket makes this little single well worth obtaining. It's a long song (around 10 min) thats meanders along as if wandering through a seaside town made of icecream 9as the name of the song implies!). There are many wonderful little licks and song sections that always change and keep the listener very entertained.

Another great song on this single is the Xray Version of We Haven't Turned Around. It is very stripped back both vocally and musically. The chorus has a great organ sound very similar to the start of i am the Walrus.

Emergency Surgery is the other track on here, like many gomez singles the other bside it is up against always seems so much better. It has an almost psychadelic middle eastrn feel to it, not totally unlistenable.

Emergency Surgery and We Haven't Turned Around are both found on Abandonded Shopping Trolley Hotline but Gomez in a Bucket is nowhere else.
