- Better than "guide to better living" by far
When most bands do a follow up album to their first, it usually, well, sucks. In Grinspoon's case it's the exact oposite. Easy, Grinspoon's second album is a really great CD. If you happened to like, or love the first, then you'll never put this one down. It really rocks, by starting off with "American party bomb", the songs just get better.
The only problem with this album is that the lyrics aren't included, which makes singing along hard because Phil Jamieson (the lead singer) never seems to be saying whats he's meant to even if you know the lyrics...also, the instrumental of overdriver, while delivering good music, is only an instrumental, and that sux...other than that this album really rocks...5 stars easily
Let's hope Grinspoon can do it again wth their next album?
- Not from Australia but still loving it!
This was a killer cd! Grinspoon wasn't even heard of here until I bumped into their webpage last year...now they're ALL i listen too!!! They're wicked awesome and i think they seriously need to think about coming on tour to the US! So...if u just happen to be from the USA and have never heard of Grinspoon and like that punky hardcore type of music...buy the cd, it KiKs!
- Easy Rocks!
This is a fantastic album. Stand-outs are, "Ready 1", "Undercover", "Secrets" and "Rock Show". Grinspoon rock! Buy this and their debut album, "Guide to Better Living".
- Easy [IMPORT]
Being an Aussie and a long way from home it's easy to lose touch with the Australian music scene. If you don't like popular dance music in England you're in trouble.
I was lucky enough to have a mate send me over Grinspoon's new album for my birthday. WOW! I thought Guide to Better Living rocked! This just takes it up a notch.
Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find out what kind of reviews it has received back home but I'm sure they're good. I think this cd is a must for any rock fan.
My only critisicm would be that it tends to lean toward the American market. I understand that the lads want to crack the market stateside (and I'm sure they will) but saying "grass doesn't grow on a busy sidewalk" is a bit much. Sidewalk? I've never heard an Aussie use that terminology.
Anyway, it's well worth a listen. If you liked their first album you'll LOVE this.
