- The first, the classic
Well, this album is a very special album indeed. I can honestly say that i haven't really heard anything like it before. Love the album from start to finish. The quality of the album is good but not at it's best. But, i mean Halloween are not the most known band out there and i guess they weren't back then either.
But you can clearly hear how much these guys love their music.
This album is a must have for the fans of metal music in my opinion.
Favourite songs for me include Trick Or Treat, What A Nice Place, Scared To Death and Don't Metal With Evil.
I really recomend buying this album when it is a fun experience in music!

- heavy metal halloween horror masters!
This is the album that started it all. Halloween is a hard rocking awesome band.I have had the pleasure of seeing them play live a few times and they never dissappoint. I have every one of thier albums and they all are great. There is no other band that will give you great metal and that creepy halloween feel to the music except alice cooper.I wait excitedly for halloween to put out another album, every time they put one out.Get thier cd's you will be glad you did.

- 80's thrash gotta have!
Eventhough Halloween was mainly a local act to Detroit, this is a must have for those fans of 80's thrash/hair metal. Exremely tight and awesome sound. Sample some. You won't be disappointed. Searched forever to find this. Get it while you can.
- True Metal excellence
What we see in Halloween is an approach to musical structure and modality that takes serious brain power to generate. There are serious and distinctive musical decisions that Halloween makes in their note choice and phrasing that sets them apart as some of the most serious True Metal bands to release music.
Rick Craigs attack and note choice is particularly outstanding, his style of playing has something I like to call "controlled ugliness", every note and phrase has a very unique dissonance with the key. This sort of style is looked down upon by some people, but it takes serious brains and guts to make solos sound that consistently nasty. Vinnie Vincent has a similar style, but his is much more flash and happy than Craig's ghoulish and spooky.
This album is a testement to the serious muscicianship of the past and the power that such musicianship can create.
- still awesome
oh boy. this brings back some memories. 1985. i had this on cassette. it still rocks just as hard. these guys should live in castles of gold on their own island. every song is rockin and unique. love these guys. halloween forever.
