A concert of the Mondays back in the 1990s heyday would have been much better than this. Here, we see the Mondays at a 2004 reunion. Shaun Ryder sounds pretty bad, and you'd have to be the most forgiving fan not to notice. In the extras, Ryder sits in a pub for an interview and gives the most verbose, indirect and largely incoherent answers to questions you've ever heard.
i'm suprised no one has reviewed this yet. i put off buying it for a very brief while. then i realized how great it would be to have a mondays concert on dvd.
while it isn't the original lineup, it IS shaun ryder and fez, the band sounds great, shaun is on the tightrope to shambles or brilliance, which is how we like him.
they list bob's yer uncle, which i thought was the song that starts the 2nd half of pills n' thrills (ride on ride on, hey how's your breathing if it stops for good we'll be leaving) that song, which would of made this my favorite no matter how he sounded, alas it's actually the song that's like: why don't you do it to me, why don't you do those things to me, which while good, is my least favorite song on pt&b.
if you've been a mondays fan forever, then you need to have it, sounds good when put through a stereo, video quality is good as well, sadly they don't have much or anything of them in the mid-90's heyday (other than video comps), so this is very much welcome, go on shaun, call the cops, twistin your mellon man.
