Against Me! name new album

Florida political punks Against Me! have completed work on White Crosses, the follow-up to their critically acclaimed 2007 album, New Wave. The band finished tracking the album this past Saturday (October 17) in LA with producer Butch Vig (Nirvana, Garbage, Green Day). White Crosses, which is the first Against Me! album to feature new drummer George Rebelo (formerly of Hot Water Music), will be released in the UK through Warner Bros in early 2010.

Lily mouths off about drugs AGAIN! When will it stop?!

Oh dear... On a day when she should be making headlines purely because of her Number One single, album and airplay status, Lily Allen has found herself being discussed for a very different reason. The singer has landed herself in hot water once again after making some rather controversial comments about drug-taking. "Parents should say, 'Drugs might seem fun but they do funny things to your brain. Some people react to it good, some don’t. Try it and see what you think,'" Lily told a Dutch magazine. Hmm, so she thinks parents should let their kids experiment? That's not going to cause any trouble, is it now Lily? She then went on to openly admit, "If I hadn’t been famous I’d have taken loads. Wouldn’t be too wise right now. I’ve never been good with cocaine or drugs like that. I steer clear of heroin or crack." Cripes! As much as we're very proud of Lily for making such an awesome comeback onto the music scene, we do think she'd benefit from reining her mouth in just a little. What do you think?

Mariah Carey’s Hot Tub Debut

Mariah Carey debuted her new album to friends in a hot tub. The singer, who has been busy working on her first new material since 2005's 'The Emancipation Of Mimi', decided to test the water by playing it to her girlfriends as they soaked together. She said: "I sat in the hot tub the other night playing some songs for some friends and one of them felt it was a very pro-woman kind of thing. And I was like, 'You know what, I didn't do that intentionally.' But she felt that it was a very empowered-woman moment." Although Mariah's pals thought the tracks were promoting girl power, she is adamant the LP is not anti-men. The pop superstar - who has had a colorful love life, including a turbulent marriage to record boss Tommy Mottola and a brief fling with rapper Eminem - explained: "It's not that the songs are male-bashing. It's a fun record. I'm writing with a lot of different people, mainly rappers, and I bring something to the table they don't and vice-versa." Mariah, 39, feels blessed she is able to sing for a living, and insists she never takes her music career for granted. She told Interview magazine: "To me, to be able to do what I love for a living is a gift from God. I could be doing something I hate every day, but luckily I'm not." Mariah sleeps 15 hours a day in a controlled environment to keep her vocal cords in check.

Amy Winehouse Had 3 Day Drug Binge

Amy Winehouse had been on a three-day drug binge before she was hospitalized this week. The painfully thin 'Rehab' singer - who was rushed to hospital in the early hours of Wednesday morning (08.03.07) after passing out at her home - allegedly took a cocktail of ecstasy, cocaine and ketamine, mixed with vodka, whisky and lager during the mammoth session with her husband Blake Fielder-Civil. A close friend of Blake's, who was at the house party, told Britain's The Sun newspaper: "She looked like a zombie - white as a sheet and trembling. And I'll never forget her eyes. They were dead, like a shark." The 23-year-old star's bender began just hours after she flew back to London from a Chicago music festival at Hounslow's The Robert Inn on Monday afternoon (08.06.07). The star downed pints of lager and made several trips to the bathroom with her husband in the two hours they were there. The couple then headed to their local pub, Camden's The Hawley Arms to continue partying late into the night. Amy was next spotted acting "very jittery" at a café near her north London home on Tuesday (08.07.07) and demanded hot food. She then threw an impromptu house party, where her excessive drugs consumption and lack of sleep is said to have finally taken its toll and she started convulsing. A friend of the couple said: "Amy had boasted she hadn't slept in three days. "Blake telephoned friends at 10pm, yelling f**k, f**k she's having a fit!' "The word went around like wild fire. Friends rushed around to help, and Blake calmed Amy down by giving her water before taking her to hospital. "He was terrified - but she was a mess. She didn't know what was going on." Amy - who was given an emergency adrenaline shot and had her stomach pumped at London's University College Hospital before being released on Wednesday evening - checked into London's The Priory rehab center yesterday (08.09.07). Daniel Craig Set To Don The Tux And Shoot People To Classy Theme Music Again

James Bond is back! Oh, how I *heart* the Bond flicks. The rampant misogyny, their tendency to make America look mentally challenged, ridiculous stunts, cheesy supervillains, and women with names like Dirty Panties running around trying to avoid having to sleep with Bond and then get murdered. Daniel Craig, the sexiest Bond since Sean Connery, is signed up for Bond 22, aka "The Quantum of Solace". This one promises to have more action sequences and special effects than the last one, which was more character-driven than previous jokey Bonds. He stars with two unknown chicks, Gemma Atherton and Olga Kurylenko. Hopefully these two were hired at a low pay scale so they could afford the money Craig probably demanded to do another slow walk out of the water in really lowcut swim trunks like last time.
