Ill Niño Album: “Enigma”
 Description :
Ill Nino: Cristian Machado (vocals); Ahrue Luster (guitar); Diego Verduzco (guitars); Laz Pina (bass guitar); Dave Chavarri (drums); Danny Couto (percussion).
<p>Following on the heels of an appropriately eclectic EP of covers, Ill Nino's 2008 effort ENIGMA offers more of the quintet's quirky brand of melodically driving thrash. On its Cement Garden debut (fourth full-length overall) the New Jersey metal act sounds like Sepultura channeled through Faith No More, suddenly shifting languages or time signatures for a deliriously unpredictable ride. ENIGMA opens simply enough, summoning images of early Metallica on tracks like "The Alibi of Tyrants" and "Pieces of the Sun." However, the record swiftly becomes gleefully unhinged and by "Guerilla Carnival," the band is even interpolating INXS. When paired with the album's graver lyrics, the effect is unsettling.

- Roots bloody roots
Ill Nino's Enigma is finally released after being delayed countless times since last summer, and i was almost about to give up on it. Fortunately, i didnt and ill nino delievers. Bringing in more of the tribal percussion form the acoustic ep, Enigma is both brutal, and artistic. tracks like Compulsion Of Virus And Fever, March against Me, and Finger Painting show off the sound, while giving direhard fans enough nostalgia to get into it. Was it worth the wait? Yes, and if this album is any indication, Ill Nino have found their roots, and their very bloody.

- Amazing
Amazing CD. Not the typical Ill Nino most are used to, but this CD shows that Ill Nino is more than just a fading rap metal band.

This cd is good. I have heard a lot of people try to do what Ill Nino does, but they just seem to do it better than everyone else. Good stuff.
- Great Cd!!!
I love ill nino & they have made another great album. It's some of their best work, christian has come so far with his vocals since Revolution & Confession. And the percussion seems to really stand out on this album. My favorite tracks are "Pieces of The Sun" "March Against Me" & "Finger Painting (With The Enemy)" There aint no bad track on this album. Then again ill nino has never done a bad song. Be sure to get this cd!!! And if you love it, check out their newest cd "Dead New World"
- disapointed
Man I was really let down by this cd. there was nothing on this that blew me away. It does have SOME good songs on it, but not enough.Tracks 1,2, and 3 are good and then it goes down hill from there. Kellogs, bombs, and crackerjacks is cool and thats about it. if you want to check this band out, check out confession or one nation underground, or the first album revolution/revolucion.....
