Insane Clown Posse

Insane Clown Posse Album: “Forgotten Freshness: Vols. 1 & 2”

Insane Clown Posse Album: “Forgotten Freshness: Vols. 1 & 2”
Description :
Insane Clown Posse: Shaggy 2 Dope, Violent J.
Additional personnel includes: Project Born, Myzery, Twiztid.
Recorded at The Fun House, Detroit Michigan. Includes liner notes by Tom Dub.
One of the few bands who can admit to having "songs that suck" on their b-sides and out-takes collection, Detroit's Insane Clown Posse throws in absolutely everything on FORGOTTEN FRESHNESS. Opening with the hilariously obnoxious, Cypress Hill-tinged "Hey Vato," this two disc set is filled with the over-the-top nastiness that put ICP on the map. Juvenile sex humor is abundant ("Fat Sweaty Betty," which carries an unsettling plot twist) as are violent murder fantasies ("I Didn't Mean To Kill 'Em"). Xenophobia is also addressed; "Willy Bubba" is a cartoonish, first-day-of-school nightmare. Side two finds even more raw material, notably the collection of rappers on "85 Bucks An Hour," where the ICP calls in the whole crew, even taking a page from the Jerky Boys, indulging in a little tele-terrorism.

- ICP at their darkest

This CD has all kinds of cool Halloween stuff they only gave out to fans in clown makeup at their shows. Much, much better in my humble opinion (I don't generally like rap) than "Milenko" or their new album. This album is absolutely evil, and very fun to listen to because all the tracks were recorded separately and sound very different. ICP finally got to release their material the way it was originally intended. Don't be scared off by ICP's admonition "some of this stuff sucks..." I just don't agree, in fact I think that if half of these tunes had been on their last three albums, they'd be more universally respected by now. As for the racist remarks from one of the reviewers that preceded me, I hope someday someone will lighten up and enjoy things for what they are. P.S. James Brown rules.

- This is classic insane clown posse

All i can say is WOW.This album is so good it's not even funny. It has all the best songs, from songs that never made it onto albums to songs ICP gave away at their concerts to songs that just suck. This is classic ICP.This is old school ICP singing ghetto rap.A must buy in my book.

- This Is The One

If there is only one cd you buy this year Forgotten Freshness (FF) is it. Putting togather all of ICP greatest hits, FF is a must have, not for just ICP fans, but for all music lovers! Not only does it contain rare and uncut songs such as "Dead Pumpkins", "Fat Sweaty Betty" and "Halloween On Military Street" but it also contains some of the more popular songs such as "Fxck Off", "Santas a fat Bxtch" a very very cool remixes of "Hokus Pokus" and a wicked old school version of "Piggy Pie" On a scale of 1 being the worst, 10 the best, I would give Forgotten Freshness a whopping 15 on the "ICP o' Meter". ITS A MUST HAVE!
