Análisis (en inglés) - :
{$Iron Maiden's} {#Live After Death} is a stunning live document of an important British heavy metal band at the peak of its power. This concert video captures the definitive {$Iron Maiden} lineup -- vocalist {$Bruce Dickinson}, lead guitarists {$Dave Murray} and {$Adrian Smith}, bass guitarist {$Steve Harris}, and drummer {$Nicko McBrain} -- on the {^Powerslave} tour. It was filmed in March 1985 during a four-night stand at the {~Long Beach Arena} in Long Beach, CA. Obvious classics such as {&"The Trooper,"} {&"The Number of the Beast,"} and {&"Run to the Hills"} are included, but {$Iron Maiden's} musical and lyrical skills and versatility are probably best illustrated on longer songs such as {&"Revelations,"} {&"Rime of the Ancient Mariner,"} {&"Powerslave,"} and {&"Hallowed Be Thy Name."} {$Dickinson's} onstage remarks -- denying the band members are devil worshipers and commenting on drug use by poet {%Samuel Taylor Coleridge} and {%Queen Victoria} -- are interesting. {^Live After Death} is a visual pleasure as much as a sonic one. The elaborate staging and lighting effects are excellent. The editing is superb as well -very few rapid-fire, seizure-inducing camera cuts. Kudos to director {$Jim Yukich} and soundtrack producer {$Martin Birch} (who also produced {$Iron Maiden's} best studio albums) for making this classic. Unfortunately, it's now out of print in the United States. (As for the soundtrack album itself, avoid the edited one-CD pressings issued by {@Capitol} and {@Castle} and go with the complete two-CD version on {@Raw Power}.) ~ Bret Adams, All Music Guide
