MACHIPONGO -- The Barrier Islands Center kicks off the summer with Art & Music on the Farm today from 10 a.m.-4 p.m.

MACHIPONGO -- The Eastern Shore of Virginia Barrier Islands Center marks a milestone this month -- the center will celebrate its 10th anniversary at the Art and Music on the Farm event on Saturday, May 26 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Celebrate the singer's career in his hits, deep cuts, and songs he inspired, from "I Started a Joke" to "Islands in the Stream."

Advocates for the environment were dressed to the nines Friday night for the first ever Green Gala, a fundraising event hosted by the non-profit group Mariana Islands Nature Alliance at the Hibiscus Hall of Fiesta Resort & Spa in Garapan.
