- DONT EVEN THINK ABOUT BUYING THIS ALBUM!!!!!!

This ablum was produced by Gull records, a company Judas Priest hasn't worked with for decades and thier just trying to cash in on the Judas Priest name. If you buy this ablum you do not deseve to be called a Judas Priest fan. Be supportive and by the real records.

- Morons!!!

Hey young and dumb morons listen up. This Best Of JP was released before you were even born. I bought this on cassette when I was frickin 15 in 1985. JP was on Gull record label before they ended their contract with that Co. and got picked up by Columbia. Do some homework before going off half cocked. Gull owns the rights to their 1st two records which are classics and not available under Columbia. So by not purchasing their first two records with Gull people are bad fans and don't support JP? Yeah right dumbo. Quit being a know it all 23 year old, put down the X-Box controller and enjoy some of the best JP albums; yes the music on this CD is some of their best music and if you don't support that, then you are no real fan of JP.

Sad Wings of Destiny was Judas Priest's second and final studio record made while under contract with Gull Records, an independent UK company. Despite critical acclaim, the band was struggling financially due to lack of support from the label. Shortly after changing management, the band severed their ties with Gull and signed with Columbia Records. Consequently, Judas Priest lost all rights to the recordings on their first two albums and to all demo recordings made during the sessions while under contract with Gull.[2] Sad Wings of Destiny was initially published and distributed by Janus Records in the United States.[3]

Whilst the band lost the rights to recording royalties, they obtained copyright ownership of the songs themselves, many of which became staples for their live shows. "Victim of Changes", "The Ripper", "Tyrant" and "Genocide" appear on Judas Priest Unleashed in the East, a live album released by CBS in 1979. "Diamonds and Rust", a Joan Baez song originally recorded for Sad Wings, but omitted from the final album, was re-recorded for Sin After Sin, their first CBS release, and also on Unleashed. Gull later released the band's original recording of "Diamonds and Rust" on a 'best of' album and their rerelease of Rocka Rolla.

- there's a word for this.

It's "crap." Don't get me wrong, I'm a huge Priest fan, but this is simply a lame attempt by a record company to cash in on the Priest name. It looks like a compilation of Rocka Rolla and Sad Wings of Destiny. Not much of a "best-of" collection. You'd be better off buying those albums individually. I mean, come on! Any decent Priest fan would look at this and retch. If you know nothing about the band, go get Metal Works, Metalogy, or Living After Midnight: The Best of Judas Priest.

- Love the priest!!!!!!!!!!!!! please come back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've listened to judas priest for many many years and I think they have a great metal rock sound! There guitarist's are two of the best in the business now and then. Just listen to the different styles of guitar they offer. It's great and they belong right up there with the best of all Ted Nugent.
