K-Ci & JoJo Album: “All My Life: Their Greatest Hits”
Description :
K-Ci & JoJo: JoJo , K-CI (vocals).

In the early 1990s, the two sets of brothers known collectively as Jodeci scored numerous hits with a deep, mellow soul sound. In the middle of the decade, the Hailey brothers, Cedric (K-Ci) and JoJo, split from the DeGrate brothers, releasing four popular records as K-Ci & JoJo. Even though it was songwriter/producer DeVante DeGrate who was often the driving force behind Jodeci, K-Ci & JoJo were able to retain a similar feel as a duo, maintaining the dark, sweet sensuality and sharply crafted songwriting that marked the larger group.

ALL MY LIFE: THEIR GREATEST HITS digs deep for 18 tracks from the provocative pair. Naturally, the collection contains hits like the title track, which topped both the R&B & pop charts with its tender lyrics and gentle melody, as well as the similar "Tell Me It's Real," another huge hit. ALL MY LIFE also uncovers lesser-known tracks that convey the group's versatility, including the layered, neo-soul-flavored "Don't Rush (Take Love Slowly)," which expertly showcases K-Ci's growl. Also featured are K-Ci's solo homage to '70s Delfonics-style soul, "If You Think You're Lonely Now," and the brothers' collaboration with like-minded Babyface, "I Care About You."

- Fabulous, soulful, dynamic album!
I'm still speechless after listening to this album the past 2 days! K-Ci and JoJo's greatest hits' album just sounds great! The vocal talents are so soulful here. Sometimes, K-Ci reminds me of Bobby Womack vocally in his prime. And JoJo has some good pipes too. All My Life is still a classic some 8 years later. The album's mostly midtempo songs and ballads, but the performances are so dynamic! I still like Last Night's Letter, Tell Me It's Real, You Bring Me Up, I Care About You, the song from the Stella soundtrack and others. One other surprise here is Life, which sounds like it could have been done in one take, because K-Ci's voice sounds so pure here. Same with K-CI's If You Think You're Lonely Now. The offerings from the four albums and the soundtrack albums are so well balanced. You are going to be moved by this album!!!!

- Excellent blend of there best stuff
This is one of my fav. CD's I have been bumping recently... K-Ci & Jojo are an incredible duo, and this really proves if you actually listen to it that they don't need Jodeci, cause they own by themselves...
Being a Hip Hop Producer, I must say thease are excellently produced tracks... All My Life, I don't know if they got an orchestra to get that sound, or it was all one man, but the production on that song alone is incredible.
If you have someone you love, or a girl that you really like, every song on here can relate to your emotions for them. I love singing along to "All my Life", and "Tell Me It's Real" with my girlfriend, especially "All My Life" cause it say's exactly what I think about her, but I could never put it in words that well.
Also what is up with thease DEVante d***riders? Dude isnt that great, his production techniques, and his sound is lackluster at best. His best work wasnt even with Jodeci, it was on All Eyez on Me by 2Pac... The production fits K-Ci & Jojo's style much better, and is far better on this.
Overall, this is 5/5 , a great album...
My 4 Fav. tracks are...
All My Life
Don't Rush (Take It Slowely)
Tell me It's Real
Crazy
But really everything on here is dope.

- SOULFUL
A lot of these songs are great. These guys know what true R&B is. The best tracks are: Last Night's Letter, Bring Me Up, All My Life, Tell Me It's Real, Crazy, Girl, Don't Rush, This Very Moment and Down For Life. A couple tracks sound bad, but overall, this CD is great for making love and dedicate to your loved ones.

- If you have their albums ....
What's the point of this "Greatest Hits" really? First of all, like a few have said, this should be a "Best Of" because K+J have only a few actual "hits" to their name. Secondly, if you have 4 of their albums (as I do), or 3, or even just 2, there's no point for this.
Where are the unreleased tracks, or the tracks that appear on Japanese versions (such as "I Just Can't Leave" or "Impossible" - both great songs)? And of course there should be at least 2 brand new songs.
Lastly, WHY in the world did K-Ci & JoJo get a "Greatest Hits" released before Jodeci? You might say 'if K+J's GHs is pointless, so would a Jodeci GHs' ... but you're wrong because Jodeci needs to get their name out again. K-Ci & JoJo, on the other hand, released their lame "Emotional" album just a few years ago.
This is ALL from a guy who thinks K-Ci is the best singer in the world and JoJo is RIGHT behind him (just due to my preference, because JoJo's got an angelic voice). The two always sound amazing, but their songs are NOT up to what these two's standards should be.
K+J, settle whatever is wrong with Jodeci. Your vocals are best suited for Dalvin and DeVante's productions.
