- What can i say

Two of Kalmah's albums in one package is just awesome. I was actually looking to buy "swamplord" on its one when i saw this. i was going to eventually buy "they will return" but figured why not buy these together. For any fan of kalmah, definitely consider adding this to your cd collection. If you are a new fan, i think this would be a great start. These albums are excellent and I think their best.

- Phenomenal Value for the best band in the sub-genre

As a fan of Kalmah's entire catalog, it's hard for me to say this, but these are the best two albums they've ever created. The interesting thing is that the production quality is not as good as their later albums, the technical skills of the musicians have improved on their newer albums, and I still prefer these over The Black Waltz, etc.

The reason for this is the same reason that Kalmah is the best at their particular brand of metal. They have an atmosphere on these two albums that simply doesn't exist elsewhere in the world of metal. I also like the vocals more on these two albums, although the actual lyrics are indiscernible.

In any case, the song Hades and its guitar solo are more than enough reason to spend the money for this double album collection. It is my second favorite guitar solo in metal (In Flames - December Flower is first), and has a feel to it that is unmatched.

As an aside, these two albums are what I always listen to when I mow my yard. Always. The fact that they make such a boring task go by so quickly is one of the highest praises I can give them. Every song is unique and a must-have for any fan of the genre.

- Joy of discovering the new band

I accidentaly discovered this band and wanted to give it a try with this 2 in one offer, and I ended up buying 4 real CDs.

I really love this scandinavian death metal bands and there are a lot more to discover.

Kalmah is so far my 2nd favorate.

- Was Death Metal Ever this Melodic?

I came a bit late to the Kalmah bandwagon, but I'm now firmly seatbelted in and rocking hard. This two-album compilation is the perfect way for new fans to come up to speed. In fact, for the price this may be one of the best deals in metal out there. You can definitely hear the subtle improvements in production values between the two albums, but both offer a wealth of tracks get your heart pumping.
