Kids in Glass Houses

After 10 successful years, Kids In Glass Houses have decided to call it a day. This October, the five-piece will embark on a farewell UK tour, calling at The Institute Birmingham on Mon 20th October 2014, and playing hits from all four of their albums.

The band have had an incredible run over the past decade, including chart success with multiple albums/singles, and numerous sold out tours, as they travelled the world doing what they do best. It’s a sad but an exciting time in the KIGH camp and no doubt their fans will be feeling the same.

The South Wales quintet formed in 2003 and saw success on the strength of the singles ‘Give Me What I Want’ and ‘Saturday’ off their debut album Smart Casual in 2008. They released their second album Dirt early 2010, which saw the band releasing four singles from this, most notably ‘Matters At All’. The band’s third album, In Gold Blood, was released in 2011. Their fourth album, Peace, was released in September 2013 via Transmission Records, and peaked in the UK Top 20 in the midweek chart – order it here.

Save Your Breath

Save Your Breath came together as many groups do, born out of friends who all grew up in the same scene and eventually came to play music together. Hailing from the small Welsh town of Newport, bassist Ben Griffiths began jamming with friend and guitarist Tom Owen after the demise of his first band, and before long, the two were joined by drummer Bobby Sondergaard, second guitarist Adam Parslow, and singer Webbo to cement the lineup of Save Your Breath. They took primary influence for their poppy punk confection from the likes of Green Day, Saves the Day, Bad Brains, and The Ataris. The band have played with acts like Funeral for a Friend, Set Your Goals, and Polar Bear Club.
