- Dance music you can listen to

So I suppose I fall somewhere in between the other two reviews for this album.

Do I like this album? Yes! There are some great mixes on here. Including the "Boogie no more" and "Man of Constant Sorrow" mix. If you check out the myspace for these guys they describe themselves as "dance music you can listen to." This pretty much sums up this album.

It's dancey, but not get up out of your chair and dance around the living room dancey. Rather its something you can groove to while doing homework, your thesis, or just cleaning up the house.

It's a little more funky than your downtempo stuff like Portishead or Zero 7. But more mellow than say your local disco house dj.

Because it is chill, and not full on dance, I could see where someone would say it's commercial. There is a lot of "airyness" in the music. Sometimes the songs will drift on for a while on the same bass line without much progression. This occasional austerity adds something mellow to the cd. What the other reviewer called "commercial", which I interpret to mean uninspired, I would just call "mellow and ambient."

Therfore if you're in the mood to get up and dance, this cd is probably not for you. If you're in the mood for something to write, drive, or work to though, then this cd is great. As the artists say themselves, its "dance music to listen to." As such, It's got a nice diverse mix of beats and remixes to help groove your way through whatever you're doing. Plus, it was a double CD priced for single CD where I purchased it.

I would give it 3.5 Stars, but since we can't do that here on Amazon I'll give it Four Stars.

- This rocks!

This album is a funky boogie-licious remix extravaganza. It's so fun and I'm totally into the Jamiroquoe and Mark Rae remixes. I also love "Man of Constant Sorrow" from O brother Where Art Thou. Go K&S!
