LCD Soundsystem Album: “45:33”

James Murphy seems to think so and as LCD Soundsystem he is proving it. This album takes the dance snippets from Sound of Silver and builds on them to create one long, very disco-ey, very blues-ey, no singing dance track. That's not to say that there are no speaking, just not singing.

Once you start listening you can't stop. It sucks you in. It's like background music but not so background that you can't enjoy it. It allows you to focus on anything you're doing while enjoying some great dance music.

This is definitely a must own for any dance or electronic music fan.

If you are already aware of LCD soundsystem then you either already have this or are just taking the steps to get it. If you are new to LCD Soundsystem then you need to be aware of the following

this is low fi electronic dance music with an emphasis on analog

you should probably listen to Sound of Silver first and if you like that then this is a no brainer!

this is a sweet album. I don't know much about LCD Soundsystem, I've only listened to that silver album before (it's really good too) but then I read some reviews and I bought this mostly because it was super cheap and people seemed to like it. Turns out it's super rad, 45:33 is a great song even though it's a little long (over 8 minutes!) and then Freak Out is hilarious and really good too even though it's also pretty long (also over 8 minutes!). Anyway this album is pretty good value and honestly how many good songs do you know that are over 45 minutes and 33 seconds? not many I bet. I rest my case.

I don't know why this has a crazy title in the listing. It's 45:33, and it's awesome. Funky as heck. I've been a fan of LCD for a while, but for some reason (probably because of the Nike association) I put off getting this. That was dumb, it's a sweet record.

Get with it and join the LCD revolution.... it's WILD! It's hard to categorize their style but there is no missing their transient beats... guaranteed to set you off to Tangentia and beyond!
